41 Chapter members and leaders will attend the annual AUSA Nation Convention. The convention is scheduled from October 13-15 at the Washington, DC Convention Center. It is one of most widely attended US Army gathering in the world.
The Chapter is very proud that our nomination for Department of the Army Volunteer Family of the Year, the Charles and Virginia Hindbaugh Family, is the national winner. This is the second time in a roll that a Fort Bliss Family has won this prestigious award.
Chapter leaders will attend all times of meetings and dinners with the national office and there will be various professional development forums and presentations throughout the convention for delegates to attend. The Chapter will also host El Paso Night, an El Paso/Fort Bliss Alumni reception at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

In an effort to access the needs of the Chapter membership and the Soldiers and family members at Fort Bliss, Chapter President, Mr. John Baily will meet with all the commanders and CSM’s of brigades on post.
Fort Bliss has changed over the last ten years and there is a need to take a look at current Bradley Chapter programs to see if they are still relevant in today’s Army. In addition, Mr. Baily will meet with a group of junior enlisted Soldiers to see how the Bradley Chapter can best serve them.
Once these one on one meetings have concluded, Mr. Baily will work with the current Chapter leadership to develop a new Bradley plan of action.

Folks, I want to clarify my rationale for AUSA's opposing the use of a commission to determine Army force structure. There are several reasons why I believe it is unnecessary, in addition to the rationale I expressed in my letter to congressional leaders. Here are some additional thoughts.
